Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Monday said this year’s Junior School Certificate (JSC) exam will begin on 1 November.
“We are taking necessary preparations for conducting the examination. We have also taken plans to start repairing the schools and colleges affected by the recent flood,” he said.
Nahid came up with the observations while exchanging Eid greetings with officials and staff of the Secondary and Higher Education Division at his ministry.
The education minister greeted all and thanked them for their continuous support for the activities of the ministry.
“The present government under the leadership of prime minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to turn Bangladesh into a developed and affluent country based on the spirit of the war of liberation,” Nahid said.
“To achieve this goal, we all have to bring dynamism in the activities of the ministry. We have to take forward the work of all the projects concerned as per plan and complete those within the stipulated time,” he added.
