NU postpones today’s degree exam

NUThe National University has postponed its degree examination which was scheduled for today, Sunday, due to flood.

In a press release published on its website, the university authorities said today’s part (13 August 2017) of the degree (pass course) examination for the year 2015 has been postponed for flood.

More than 200,000 people of 30 unions in the five upazilas of northern district of Lalmonirhat - Patgram, Kaliganj, Hatibandha, Aditmari and Sadar - have been marooned by floodwaters as both the Teesta and Dharla rivers were flowing above the danger level.

Besides, the water of the Someshwari river has been flowing 150 centimetres over the danger mark due to the incessant rainfall for the last couple of days and onrush of water from the upstream, leaving more than 30 villages in Durgapur upazila of Netrakona district inundated.
