Five lucky fans got an ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to visit China with national all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan between 29 June and 4 July.
Organised by Huawei Consumer Business Group, the tour comprised of visits by Shakib Al Hasan and five fans to latest Huawei facilities as well as historic and modern Chinese sites, said a press release.
The lucky fans were selected through a contest titled ‘Who Doesn’t Want to Go to China with Shakib’ launched by Huawei Consumer Business Group.
Commenced on June 11, the contest continued till June 23. The contest involved contestants taking selfie at a Huawei Store nationwide and posting on Facebook hashtagged #ShakiberSatheChina, with privacy setting at ‘Public’.
They then got a quiz consisting of simple questions on Huawei and Shakib Al Hasan, which they answered. Huawei selected five lucky winners from those participants.
The sites that Shakib Al Hasan and those lucky five fans visited during the 6-day China tour included The Great Wall of China, Huawei R&D facilities, Huawei Headquarter, Huawei brand shop as well as China Cultural Park in Shenzhen. At the Huawei Headquarters, the visitors met the top management of Huawei.
“Huawei aimed to add to the enjoyment to some of our valued customers through the tour this Eid. China is a country that not only has a rich history, but is also a place where major technological progress is taking place. And the lucky winners as well as Shakib Al Hasan, the best cricket allrounder in the world as well as Huawei Bangladesh’s brand ambassador, had a memorable experience. Adding greater value in the lives of our customers is one of our main mottos,” said Ziauddin Chowdhury, Device Sales Director of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd.
“I am extremely delighted to see Huawei’s state-of-the-art facilities as well as historic and modern Chinese sites. It was a memorable trip. I feel proud to be associated with Huawei, a company which has been maintaining high standard in ICT, telecommunications and device industry globally,” said Shakib Al Hasan.
