Sued by 'wife', cricketer Sunny indicted

National team cricketer Arafat Sunny at Dhaka court. File PhotoA Dhaka court on Thursday framed charges against suspended cricketer Arafat Sunny in a case filed under the Information and Communication Technology Act.
Passing the order, Dhaka’s cyber tribunal judge Md Saiful Islam fixed 21 November for the formal trial to begin with the deposition of witnesses, reports UNB.
Earlier on 5 January, Nasrin Sultana, who claimed to be Arafat Sunny’s wife, filed the case with Mohammadpur police station in the capital on allegation of circulating her sensitive pictures on social media.
Police arrested Sunny, who is now on bail, from Aminbazar in Savar upazila on 22 January.
The investigation officer of the case pressed charges against him on 6 April.
Sunny has played 16 one day international matches and 10 T20Is for the national team.
