Severe to mild cold wave is sweeping over different regions of the country, the Meteorological Department said on Saturday.
According to its forecast, severe cold wave is sweeping over the regions of Tangail, Srimangal, Rajshahi, Pabna, Dinajpur, Kurigram, Nilphamari, Panchagarh and Chudanga.
Besides, mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Barisal division and the regions of Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalgonj, Mymensingh, Netrokona, Sitakunda, Rangamati, Comilla, Feni, Bogra, Sirajgonj, Rangpur, Sayedpur, Khulna, Satkhira, Jessore & Kushtia and it may continue.
Weather may remain dry over the country. Light to moderate fog is likely to occur at places over the country during mid night till morning, the met office added.
Night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. In next 72 hours, night temperature may rise at the end period.
The lowest temperature of today was recorded 5.0 degree Celsius at Rajarhat of Kurigram and Tetulia of Panchgarh and the highest temperature of yesterday was recorded 25.8 degree Celsius at Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar.
Apart from these, seasonal low lies over South Bay. Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal & adjoining Northwestern part of Bangladesh.
