Uber, the ridesharing app that connects riders with drivers to provide convenient, reliable and affordable rides at the push of a button, on Tuesday launched its bike-sharing product, UberMOTO, in Dhaka, reports UNB.
With the launch of the new service, Uber will take another step forward in its efforts to redefine urban mobility in Dhaka that it started 11 months back with the launch of UberX and more recently with UberPREMIER.
The bike-sharing product will bring another option to riders to get from one place to another at the tap of a button.
Star cricketer Mashrafe Bin Mortaza took the first MOTO ride in the city in the morning.
General manager of Uber in Dhaka, Arpit Mundra said, "I'm thrilled to announce the launch of UberMOTO in Dhaka and be able to provide our riders another affordable way to get around the city."
"We're excited to be able to use our technology to not only contribute greatly towards improving urban mobility in Dhaka and to cutting congestion but also be instrumental in creating thousands of economic opportunities for the youth," he said
UberMOTO gives riders an affordable and convenient motorcycle ride at the push of a button through the Uber app.
Riders receive driver and bike details just as they do for other Uber rides, as well as all standard safety features before, during and after the ride, including GPS tracking, two-way feedback and the ability to share trip details with family and friends.
